About Problogging, Inc.

Experts in blogs, blog networks, project management, and software development

We got into this business when we were all still in college at Indiana University and Boston College. In 1994, the world wide web was brand new and it certainly beat having a future in corporate finance.

We started small - as consultants to our respective colleges and later to small and mid-sized corporations throughout the Midwest and New England.

The reach of the internet, however, expanded our ability to attract and retain clients from around the world. Before long, we were coding and maintaining complex student aid financial systems in Boston while maintaining servers in Dallas and Chicago for other clients. The internet truly made us a global business.

Humor Websites

In 2001, we saw an opportunity to enter the humor website business. Before long we had two of the top 50 humor websites on the internet and were running a fulltime advertising business to support those sites. This workload got the better of us and we divested ourselves of those properties in 2003. Some of our closest friends still own and operate sites in the humor business.

The Blog Network

In 2005, we renamed ourselves to BlogMedia, Inc. and launched a blog network. We very much followed a "wide and deep" strategy where we were involved in several different genres. We also went "deep" into the technology and blog news genre with the launch of sites like Blog Network Watch, BloggerJobs, Blog Network List, and the acquisition of The Blog Herald.

In late 2006, the continued growth of our consulting business and our desire to focus in some other areas led us to begin to divest ourselves of our network.
