BlogMedia, Problogging, and the road ahead…

Our company has been in existance in one form or another since 1994. We finally got around to moving beyond an informal business relationship and incorporated in 2001. It was in 2005 when we decided that blogs were a growing market - and since we had more than a passing interest in new media - that we should rename ourselves as BlogMedia, Inc..

And that has been our identity for the last eighteen months.

During this time, we have launched an entire blog network - acquired and grown sites like The Blog Herald, Blog Network Watch, and Blog Network List.

As many of you have noted over the past few weeks, we’ve slowly been divesting ourselves of much of our blog network. This is part of a deliberate strategy to move beyond the “wide & deep” network strategy that we have employed in the past in order to refocus our efforts on our consulting business and expand more into services for professional bloggers, including directly consulting in that arena.

Thus, it only makes sense for us to rebrand ourselves as Problogging, Inc.

Our focus will be on serving the needs of the Professional Blogging community and those who wish to enter that arena.

You’ll soon see some changes here at this site - a new ebook telling the BlogMedia story - and many other tools to help bloggers along their path to establishing a life for themselves as professional bloggers.

We hope that you’ll join us on this journey.
